The Great Commission
Jesus commanded His disciples, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20). We believe this commission applies to the whole Church until Jesus returns; therefore, ChristPoint City Church aims to announce the Gospel locally and globally, as well as demonstrate God's love through acts of compassion and goodness to those in need. We are committed to magnifying and making King Jesus known in Huntington Beach to the ends of the earth.
4 ways to care for missionaries:
- Pray for them.
- Pray for their families.
- Write or call to encourage them.
- Financially support them.
They have gone out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth. (3 John 1:7-8)

Cooper Gerum
My name is Cooper Gerum, a full-time missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), serving with Fire & Fragrance South Africa (FFSA) in Potchefstroom. My heart is to see the lost saved, the Church strengthened, and leaders trained to share the Gospel. I’m passionate about equipping people to step into their God-given calling and impact every area of society.
Originally from Huntington Beach, California, I did my Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Kona, Hawaii, in 2019, where God stirred my heart for the nations. I feel called to train and equip Christ-centered leaders who will disciple future generations and see worship arise worldwide. My focus is worship ministry—building teams that will GO to the nations, serve local churches, and spark missions through teaching, worship, and intercession.
I’ve had the privilege of serving in prayer room ministry, Bible distribution, evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development in both local and global communities, as well as in YWAM schools. It’s an honor to partner with God’s heart for every nation, and I’m expectant for what He will do!

Chris and Kelly are active members of ChristPoint City Church, as well as logistics and medical missionaries with Samaritan's Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
